Dalaman is one of the few coastal areas which is still relatively undeveloped and unspoiled. The town itself is several miles inland and remains predominantly Turkish, with basic English spoken in most of the cafes and restaurants.

Tourism is relatively new to the area, consequently prices are lower than in many of the resort towns although service and quality are by no means compromised.

The Turkish government has now designated the town a main touristic area, making Dalaman an ideal location for a holiday in a traditional Turkish town.

Due to its proximity to the airport, planes do fly over Dalaman and occaisionally near to the villa.

Although a short drive from the town, many local restaurants will collect you and bring you back to the villa free of charge!!  Please contact us or the "My Home Management" representative for details.

Unlike the larger tourist traps, food in Dalaman is extremely good value, with a meal comprising of salad, chips and rice and a Main Course, costing from 10 YTL, or less than £4.50 (@ £1.00 = 2.4YTL ), per person!!

Bottles of Efes Lager typically cost between 3.5 and 5 YTL , (approx 1.45-£2.10), a glass of local wine from 7 YTL.  (approx £2.90)
